BEIJING, 20 AUG – Gu Kailai has been so far spared the death penalty. The wife of Bo Xilai, member of the Politburo who was expelled in what seemed to be a real thriller, was sentenced for the murder of British Neil Heywood. The punishment of the woman is likely to be turned into a life sentence, of which she will serve at least 14 years.
