BRASILIA, 26 FEB – Brazil starts to compete with China in Africa, where the Asian giant has strong economic interests. Dilma Rousseff has in fact closed economic agreements with the Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, in fields such as trade and investment. She flew to the capital city Abuja after the ASA meeting, partnership between Africa and South America, which was held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. Nigeria is among the largest producers of oil: “Petrobras has been producing oil in Nigeria for 14 years, and expects to increase production” said Dilma Rousseff, who also spoke of an intervention in the field of hydropower.
